Financial Values

1. We will keep administrative costs to an absolute minimum – not to exceed 5%

2. We will get as much money as possible to the ministry projects

3. We will evaluate the financial stewardship of ministry projects

4. We will ask project leaders to be accountable for all expenditures and provide regular financial and program reports

5. We will keep detailed records of donations and all financial transactions

6. We will meet all government required reporting requirements

7. We will provide all information requested by the public, media and donors

“We want to avoid any criticism of the way we administer this liberal gift. For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men.” - 2 Corinthians 8:20-21

FUND-RAISING POLICIES

1. We will trust the Lord for provision of financial resources adopting the motto of missionary Hudson Taylor, “God’s work – done in God’s way – will not lack God’s provision.”

2. We will provide donors and prayer partners with frequent updates and information about the good things that are happening in the ministry (e-mail updates, monthly newsletters).

3. We will develop personal relationships with donors and prayer partners through notes, phone calls, e-mails and visits. We will keep the ministry as personal as possible.

4. We will say “Thank You” quickly, sincerely and as often as is appropriate.

5. We will conduct marketing to get the word out through film clips, newsletters, combined federal campaign and website.

6. We will not conduct activities deemed “fund-raising” by auditors or the IRS. Fund-raising is both time-consuming and expensive.

The Way we Treat Donations and Donors

1. 100% of all designated gifts will go to the project, person or program so-designated

2. We will present needs in newsletters and in person, but will not solicit donations through traditional fund-raising tools and methods.

3. We will ask for prayer

4. Donations not designated for a specific use can be used for administration costs

5. We will keep the donors and prayer partners informed through newsletters and personal contact

6. We will thank (and receipt) all donors within one week

7. We will send out newsletters 8-12 times per year

8. Names will be added to mailing list only if the person gives permission or if they are contributors.
