Rejoicing from Ghana… “On Saturday evening we showed the ‘Jesus Film’ to 300 people,” reports Bernard Asare, Kids for the Kingdom national director in Accra, Ghana. “We showed the film two times,” Asare continues. “First we showed the film in ‘Twi’ [a local language] and then in English. After the film 45 children (and one adult) came forward to invite Jesus into their hearts.”
“Jesus said, ‘Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.’ We are not seeing the lame walk or the dumb speak. However, we are seeing the Good News preached to the poor.”
All around the world Kids for the Kingdom is seeing children come to Jesus, and tell their parents. On the Sunday following the Jesus Film in Ghana, eight children brought their parents to church. “I can testify that our church was once very dry. However, since we have provided a community water well, and a medical clinic, our church is full of life.”
