Self-sustaining project in South Sudan

20170125_133913

In South Sudan, there are hundreds of thousands of displaced people due to fighting since the new country was formed. Most of it’s people are just trying quietly to survive. Rev. Garang Chan, Kids for the Kingdom National director in South Sudan has a vision to rebuild his country for Christ. Last year, Kids for the Kingdom began a series of self-sustaining projects in Africa to allow the local people to grow their own food and help create sustainable agriculture. Over 6,000 lbs. of sorghum seed was harvested and will be used to supply our feeding programs and some will be retained to enable us to re-seed the fields next year. The harvest was small this year (an ideal harvest would be about 40,000 lbs), pray for an even better one in 2017!
