“During the civil war in El Salvador a guerilla soldier told me about the Savior of the world,” says Carlos De La Rosa. “I believed his message and Jesus changed my life.” Carlos lived in the village of Chalchuapa where he married Maribel. Their jobs took them to the capital city San Salvador. There Carlos began a small church and eventually started an outreach to street children. Carlos and Maribel De La Rosa have been married 15 years and have two children. Both are trained educators. Maribel works as a psychologist at the Department of Education. Carlos pastors ‘Iglesia Familiar Cristiana Dios tu Sanador’ (Church of Christian Family of God your Healer) and directs the ministry to Support Program for Youth and Adolescent Children.
