Kids for the Kingdom Germany Branch Office Directors

Germany is known for being the homeland of Martin Luther’s Christian Reformation. Yet today only 1% of German citizens consider themselves evangelical Christians. Recognizing the spiritual needs of children and families in Germany Kids for the Kingdom established a sister organization in the heart of Germany designed to reach the children of Germany. This new sister organization  ‘Kids for the Kingdom Deutschland’ is headed by Diethelm and Angela Schulz. Currently ‘Kids for the Kingdom Deutschland’ is reaching German children in the heart of East Berlin and is providing support for Kids for the Kingdom projects around the world.

One of the key projects in Germany is a children’s outreach located in East Berlin. After decades of poverty and spiritual emptiness under Communist control East Germany and East Berlin have a high rate of family breakdown. Many homes are fatherless. Thousands of children and teens flee their abusive homes and live on the streets.
Kids for the Kingdom Germany Program Directors Josef and Maria Prenninger have been ministering to children and families in an East Berlin inner-city district called ‘Hellersdorf.’ The Prenningers are the project team leaders for the ‘Lichtblick’ (Bright Sight) based in Hellersdorf-Berlin. This Kids for the Kingdom ministry provides outreach, Bible Clubs, warm clothing, meals, job-training, and counseling for the youth of Hellersdorf. Each Friday they have 80-90 children attending the ‘Kinderstunde’ (Children’s Hour) Bible Club.
