Esther Mkandawire is Kids for the Kingdom’s national director in Zambia, she runs Needs Care Center, a local NGO in Zambia. “Esther has a heart for children regardless of their station in life. “She was touching so many lives of children she decided she needed to start an official ministry. Initially there was no money, but with hearts of faith that God is able, we have seen many miracles.” Esther ministers daily to thousands of children, widows, and families living in Lusaka’s Ng’ombe Compound (Slum). Including the 1450 kids at the Kids for the Kingdom school in the heart of Ng’ombe. Most of these children and families are affected by HIV/AIDS, in addition to rank poverty, unemployment, diseases, and other ingredients of chronic poverty. Esther is a local from the area she ministers in and speaks most of the tribal languages including Bemba, Lozi, Nyanja, Mambwe, Tumbuka, Tonga, Ngoni, and… English.
