Guatemala is well known for its rich colonial history and beautiful attractions, but is also filled with need. Kids for the Kingdom’s teams minister in an area known as the ‘Rat’s nest’ by locals because of the crime and hardship faced by the people living there. Pastor Alvaro, Kids for the Kingdom’s national director in Guatemala ministers to the poor and downtrodden of the neighborhood with a school, practical job skills training, a feeding program, Bible clubs at his church which overlooks the ‘Rat’s nest’. His vision is to transform his local area and his country for Christ.
