“We want to turn on the ‘bright light of Jesus’ in the hearts of the children in Hellersdorf.” - Josef and Maria Prenninger
In addition to ministering to the local German families, our team ministers to the huge number of Middle Eastern refugees that have come to Germany in recent years.
Our team puts on a ‘Kinderstunde’ or ‘children’s hour’ Bible Club weekly for local children.
Meet Josef and Maria Prenninger, our National Directors in Germany. Josef and Maria minister to children and families in the East Berlin community of Hellersdorf. They work each day to share the Good News of the Gospel and to provide outreach, warm clothing, meals, job-training, and counseling.
Mark and Theresa (Josef and Maria’s oldest daughter and her husband) conduct the “Kinderstunde” – German for ‘Children’s Hour’ – Bible Clubs each week for local children. Not long after they took over this ministry, they faced a new challenge: Germany admitted thousands of refugees from Middle-Eastern countries. But they met the challenge head-on by ministering to those children in the refugee housing in their own neighbourhoods.
